One of the rarest and color textured peacock cichlids is the aulonocara hueseri, or the midnight peacock cichlid. Like all peacock cichlids, the beauty of this fish becomes more pronounced as it ages - too bad I cannot say that for the author. The night peacock cichlid will begin to show the rare black dorsal fin and blue and yellow body at 3 inches.
